Western University

15 x 185 modular booth exhibiting annually

Objective

Develop a design concept that addressed the University's concern for traffic flow of 120,000 attendees over 3 days, prompt delivery of attendees to their areas of interest, audio visual presentations and data collection from several thousand attendees, and the ability to answer questions and distribute 15,000 – 20,000 brochures within a 3 day period. The exhibit was spread out across an area 185 feet wide, and it was important to obtain immediate visual identity as well as clear representation of multiple faculties and affiliate colleges.

Solution

Stevens E3 developed a design that took advantage of overhead allowances to create a booth that maximized the available 12 ft of height allowance with a central tower structure roughly in the centre of the booth area. This central tower carried tensioned fabric graphics prominently depicting the logo of the university and providing a draw. Faculties spread left and right from the central tower with individual prominent signage directing students to either the faculty or affiliate they wished to speak to. 8 large custom literature dispensers were situated every 15 – 20 ft, with 1,250 “view books” per stand available for distribution to the mass number of attendees across the 3-day event. Additional literature dispensers were located at the faculty desks where specific view books on a particular faculty could be obtained. Data collection took place through computers situated throughout the booth, as well as through iPad data collection kiosks. 7 large monitors displayed across the booth ran looping video.
